Pitch Refurbishment and Enhancement

Typically, pitches were constructed years ago with conventional drainage and surfacing. Wetter winters and increased traffic activity have created the need for partial pitch reconstruction, drainage and resurfacing of these key traffic areas.

(Reconstruction patches are available with all of the Eco Pitch surface options as above.)

  1. The goalkeeper's box: with the drainage grids, a hybrid carpet and natural grass finish of 100 m².

  2. The greater goal mouth area: central traffic zone out to the 21, 200 m².

  3. The troubled drainage or subsiding areas: reconstruction for review.

The goal patch: a new goalmouth in a day

For a Gaelic goalmouth we grow the new surface off-site, so it arrives as finished grass and the whole job is done in a day.

  1. Grown off-site

The goal patch is grown in a polytunnel, with natural grass rooted right through the Eco Pitch carpet.

  2. One day on site

We dig out the worn goalmouth, put in the drainage grid and the layers under it, and lay the goal patch on top.

  3. Ready to play

It is Hybrid Champion: real grass held by the carpet, ready for play as soon as it is down.
